The Bay Area Equity Fund

Target Neighborhoods

More than 50 neighborhoods have been identified in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area (includes 10 counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Sonoma, and Solano) where the median household incomes of residents are 80% or less than that of the average median household income for residents of that county. These neighborhoods include areas in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area that are recognized as having high poverty and unemployment rates, and that are often blighted and polluted.

The Bay Area Equity Fund invests in companies located in these low and moderate income areas and in companies located up to 5 miles from these areas.

The map shows the geographic outlines of these neighborhoods and the surrounding areas within 5 miles.
